The 789 Chevy is a combination of three of the best Chevy models that the company has ever produced, the 1957 Bel Air, 1958 Chevrolet Impala and the 1959 model of the Chevrolet. The 2005-07 Corvette C6 chassis gives the body to the n2a motors concept car, the brand new 789 Chevy. The numbers 7, 8 and 9 signify the three years involved in the car’s design.
Expect a chrome hood V, hood rockets, parking lights, bumper tips, grille bar and a headlight bezel which looks exactly like the one seen in the ’57 Bel Air. You will also find ’57 Chevy hood bar extensions around the fenders in the front. On the rear end we see the familiar cat’s eye tail light and the spread wings Chevrolet ’59. Be it the Corvette crossed flag emblems or the stainless trim bear, both are even placed in the same way that we found in the ’58 Impala. We find the Chevy 1958 once again in the interiors of the 789 Chevrolet as the interior looks quite the same as the three-colored ribbed vinyl found in the ’58 model.
The engine is the same that powered the 2005-07 Corvette, it is the 6.0L LS2 400 plus hp V8 motor with the six speed transmission capabilities. The transmission is manual and not automatic by the way. It is safe to say that the 789 will be endowed with everything that the three classic cars had to offer back in those days, together with all the strengths and technologies of advanced cars like the 2005-07 Corvette. If you are game for it, then you have the option of customizing your new 789 with a modified exhaust system and wheels, but remember that the wheels alone will cost you two thousand dollars or more.
